First Impression & Location
I stayed at CHAO Sanlitun Beijing, and the first thing that stood out was the location. It’s right in the heart of Sanlitun, surrounded by shopping malls, trendy restaurants, cafés, and nightlife. Despite being in such a lively area, the hotel itself feels surprisingly calm and private once you step inside.
Room & Design
The room felt modern and thoughtfully designed, with a minimalist style that’s both stylish and comfortable. It wasn’t overly large, but the layout made great use of space, and everything felt intentional. One of the highlights of CHAO is its communal spaces. The lounge areas felt relaxed and social, perfect for working, reading, or casually meeting friends. I tried food at the hotel and appreciated the modern Asian influences — simple, well-executed, and fitting the hotel’s contemporary feel. It’s definitely a place where guests actually spend time outside their rooms.
